Who are we looking for?
At Ecometrica we value people who are curious, take the initiative and are proactive in solving problems. If you don’t have all of the skills / experience mentioned below, but can demonstrate an ability to learn and develop on the job, we still want to hear from you.
A back-end developer, who is a fluent English speaker, and has the legal right to work in the UK or Canada.
We expect applicants to clearly demonstrate:
- Competence in software development (e.g. a project’s codebase that we can browse)
- Ability to work as part of a team (e.g. from your education or previous work experience)
- Ability to see the big picture – for example explaining
- What is the impact of your work to a particular domain or to the end-user
- What is the commercial value of your work
- Good level of maturity, emotional intelligence along with excellent time and organisational skills
- Ability to form effective and respectful working relationships across an organisation
Your application will benefit significantly from demonstrating knowledge of using some of the following tools: AWS, LINUX, Python, SQL, Unit tests

- A salary based on experience starting at £27,000 GBP (UK-based) or $50,000 CAD (Canada-based)
