Compass Group picks Ecometrica Sustainability for Sustainability Reporting

Jun 3, 2014

London, June 3, 2014 – Ecometrica, provider of the world’s most widely used sustainability software, is delighted to announce that Compass Group plc (LSE: CPG), a FTSE 100-listed multinational food and support services company, has selected Ecometrica Sustainability to manage, report and analyse its expanding sustainability reporting metrics.

“We are looking to extend our environmental reporting to a broader set of sustainability metrics, and Ecometrica Sustainability gives us the best opportunity to do that both now and in the future,” said Nicki Crayfourd, Director of Health, Safety and Environment at Compass Group. “We also report annually to the CDP and in line with our UK mandatory carbon reporting obligations, so having software that allows us to download compliant PDFs that we can submit easily was very appealing.”

“Being able to add consumption and activity data via the web, and seeing real-time reporting and analytics on our sustainability metrics, is helping us to build capacity and increase internal knowledge, as well as make plans for the future. And above all, Ecometrica Sustainability is extremely user-friendly and we’ve been able to get started straight away.”

Compass Group is the largest contract food service company in the world and has operations in over 50 countries. It serves around 4 billion meals a year in locations including offices and factories, schools, universities, hospitals, major sports and cultural venues, mining camps and offshore oil platforms. Compass Group is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index and the Fortune Global 500.
