Congratulations to our CDP Responders

Dec 7, 2021

Congratulations to all of our CDP reporting customers on their 2021 results.

This year we’ve had clients report in the Climate Change, Water and Forests disclosure schemes, all making use of our unique CDP Gold partnership across these programmes to help optimise their scores.

“As part of its Net Zero journey, Hays is focused on improving environmental performance, including setting a target to halve Group emissions by 2025. Ecometrica’s guidance and support helped to ensure its efforts were fairly and appropriately recorded in its CDP submission, helping to drive a significant improvement in its CDP rating in 2021, from D- to B.” Chris Winters, Deputy Company Secretary, Hays plc

CDP (formerly known as the Carbon Disclosure Project) is a framework that allows companies to disclose environmental information with the same rigour as financial information. Investors are increasingly using this information to decide which companies to include in their pension portfolios as well as for allocation of new capital. A company scoring B or above will be much more attractive to investors, as well as being able to demonstrate a robust approach to managing their environmental impact.

But, as with reporting financial information, submission to the CDP takes a significant amount of time and often involves extracting data from numerous documents and if you’re not fully up to speed with the ever-changing developments, you’re unlikely to get the correct score from CDP for your organisation.

As CDP’s only Gold Partner across all three of their programmes (Climate, Forests & Water), Ecometrica has been working with CDP since its inception in 2007. Ecometrica’s team of Sustainability Analysts and Software Developers are leaders in the world of sustainability, mapping and business intelligence, working with governments and multinational businesses and contributing to the formation of international standards.

Our award-winning Sustainability Platform collates and extracts all environmental data in a format ready for submission to the CDP, formatted to reflect the current CDP questionnaire, including all the key figures needed across climate, water and forests.

Every client is assigned an expert analyst who will be with them at every step of the way; from implementation on Ecometrica’s Platform and historical data loading to CDP’s submission support, including acting as a third party to review their disclosure before submission.
