Ecometrica’s Becky Smith speaks at EuroPython 2018

Jul 30, 2018

Ecometrica’s full team of developers was present at the recent 2018 EuroPython conference in Edinburgh, and the audience in attendance was also treated to a talk by Software Developer Becky Smith.

Upgrading from Python 2 to 3 can be a tricky process, especially for well-established, mature codebases. In the video below, Becky tells the Pentland Auditorium at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre why you should upgrade to Python 3, details some of the tools that are available to help you get there, and delivers a case study explaining how Ecometrica upgraded from Python 2.7 to 3.6 earlier this year.

EuroPython is the largest European Python conference with around 1200+ participants every year, the second largest Python conference in the world, and a meeting reference for all European programmers, students and companies interested in the Python programming language.
