Press Release : Page Group

Nov 3, 2021

Ecometrica is delighted to announce that it is working in partnership with PageGroup plc.

PageGroup is one of the world’s best known and most respected specialist recruitment consultancies, employing c. 7,000 people across 37 countries globally, with a revenue of c. £1,305m in 2020.

PageGroup recognised the risk climate change posed to society. Due to the office-based nature of PageGroup’s work, they have a relatively small carbon footprint. However, as a global, listed company they recognised their responsibility in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and taking urgent action against climate change.

In December 2020, PageGroup released its first Sustainability Report. This disclosed PageGroup’s target to become carbon net-zero on a global basis by 2026, with ambitions to become climate positive. They are also strengthening their environmental transparency by engaging with CDP, reporting on scope 3 emissions, and analysing their business against climate-related scenarios.

Ecometrica is assisting PageGroup with disclosure in line with the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), which will involve reviewing their existing approach to managing climate governance, strategy, and risk and opportunity for inclusion in their annual report.

To ensure ambitious emissions targets are met, it is vital that carbon emissions can be reported regularly and accurately, to track progress towards those targets. PageGroup sought a system-based reporting tool that would make the process of collecting emissions-related data more efficient and robust, which is imperative for auditing purposes and improving the transparency of reported sustainability data.

The organisation will start collecting and reporting its environmental footprint using Ecometrica’s Sustainability Reporting Platform across its offices in all 37 countries where they operate. PageGroup had previously been using a more traditional reporting system requiring the manual inputting of data.

“A global environmental platform will enable PageGroup to capture environmental data from across the business in a way that requires fewer manual checks, reminders and spreadsheets in the process. The data input will allow us to enhance our external environmental reporting as well as to provide vital insight to our business. We are delighted to be working with Ecometrica going forwards.” Joanna Bonnett, Head of Sustainability, PageGroup plc.
